Hello everyone 👋,
DevsForDevs just got a new better UX, with the latest UI updates. In this article, I showcase all the new UI changes. Our team has been hard at work, and we're delighted to share the latest enhancements with our community.
A Sleek New User Interface
One of the most noticeable changes you'll encounter is the brand-new comment interface. We've revamped the entire commenting system to make interactions smoother, more intuitive, and more enjoyable. This upgrade aims to foster engaging discussions and better connect us, the community:

There is now an “add a comment” display, and if you click on that, it shows the actual UI to add a comment. This both saves space and also simplifies the UI.

The UI when you enter your comment has also been updated, and it now uses a so-called “ghost” or “text” UI, without any borders. This brings more focus on the text you enter!
As you can see, we also added a new “cancel” button, with which you can now cancel your entering. This is used as we have the new “Add a comment” UI as shown above, but also as you can reply on comments, and you maybe want to hide it again!
Reply on replies
You can now reply on replies, while we keep a 1 level reply system. It basically now acts like YouTube.com, which is a simple but clean system that doesn't get overcomplicated like multi level reply threads in Reddit, Medium.com or Dev.to!

Here is a compare with the ugly systems of dev.to and medium.com:

Medium adds a show more replies, super complicated to follow and easy to get lost in big reply threads!

DEV Community has an even weirder system, where it first has multi level replies and then switches to one level. WTF!
Now let's go on to the next feature …
Streamlined Navigation
In our commitment to simplicity and user-friendliness, we've introduced a revamped navigation system. Our goal is to make it easier for you to explore and discover the content that matters most to you. We've carefully considered user feedback to ensure the navigation is both efficient and aesthetically pleasing.

Home is now the actual home, and we added other new important aspects like our shop or the about page!
Focused on Blogs
After careful consideration, we've made the decision to focus our efforts entirely on blogs. This strategic shift allows us to concentrate on what we do best and deliver a more specialized and refined experience. We believe this change will enhance the overall quality of content and community engagement.

We're excited to introduce our new about page. Here, you'll get a behind-the-scenes look at the people behind DevsForDevs, our mission, and our vision. We believe in transparency and want you to feel connected to the driving force behind the platform.
